Hickory Run Energy, LLC – Design-Build Water Infrastructure
New Castle, Pennsylvania
New Castle, Pennsylvania
Reynolds successfully completed this Design-Build project for Hickory Run Energy (HRE), supporting the development of a nominal 1,000-MW combined-cycle electric generating facility in North Beaver Township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. The project provided reclaimed water infrastructure to transport treated wastewater from the New Castle Sanitation Authority (NCSA) wastewater treatment plant to the power plant at flow rates ranging from 2,500 to 5,000 gallons per minute.
The project included the construction of a high-service reclaimed water pumping station at the NCSA wastewater treatment plant and approximately 3.3 miles of underground reclaimed water pipeline connecting the pumping station to the power plant. Reynolds also constructed approximately 0.7 miles of underground process wastewater pipeline from the Hickory Run Energy Station to the Mahoning River, along with a surface outfall for controlled discharge.
Additional project elements included electrical systems, instrumentation and controls, HVAC and plumbing, and associated site work. The completed infrastructure provided the reclaimed water and process wastewater systems necessary to support reliable operation of the power generation facility.

If we seem a little unique for a construction company, we’ll take it as a compliment. We’d love to talk about what it be like to work together, the way we both want to.
