Liberty Utilities Dykeer Station GAC

This project expanded the water treatment facility’s treatment capabilities through modifications to the existing process piping and construction of a new granular activated carbon (GAC) treatment building. Reynolds removed a portion of the existing concrete floor slab, installed new process piping and a GAC backwash pump within the existing water treatment building, and installed new yard piping connecting the existing and new buildings.

The new GAC building houses a treatment system consisting of two skids, each equipped with four GAC pressure vessels. The project also included installation of new HVAC equipment, including an exhaust fan and electric unit heater, within the new building.
