Seymour, Indiana
Indiana American Water (INAW) provides water service to approximately 7,800 customers in its Seymour District in Jackson County, Indiana, including the Town of Seymour. The District’s water supply is provided by five groundwater wells located on the northwest side of Seymour.
The existing water treatment facility has a firm capacity of 5.0 MGD and a rated capacity of 6.0 MGD. The facility uses aeration, chemical oxidation, and filtration for iron removal. While the Seymour water treatment facility produces high-quality finished water that meets or exceeds Indiana and Federal standards, the age of the existing facility and its location within the floodplain of the East Fork White River have resulted in the determination that the facility has reached the end of its service life and will be replaced. The existing facility must remain in service throughout construction of the proposed facility.
The major scope of the project includes:
Design and construction of new facilities, including iron and manganese filtration, chemical storage and feed systems, electrical, instrumentation and control systems, garage, and office space.
Design and construction of a new clearwell, backwash recycling basin, and high service pump station (HSPS).
Evaluation and modification of pumps at the existing wellfield to accommodate increased head requirements at the new facility.
Investigation of the potential construction of one or two wells at the new treatment facility site.

If we seem a little unique for a construction company, we’ll take it as a compliment. We’d love to talk about what it be like to work together, the way we both want to.
