American Water Pennsylvania – Lake Scranton Finished Water Tunnel

This project included the installation of approximately 2,500 LF of 36- and 42-inch ductile iron water main, along with associated valves, fittings, and appurtenances. Approximately 4,650 LF of 42-inch steel water main was installed by horizontal directional drilling (HDD) beneath East Mountain. The work also included a 48-inch x 42-inch wet tap, 48-inch line stop, 30-inch and 48-inch tie-ins, and two 42-inch steel-to-42-inch ductile iron connections. Additional improvements included a new 42-inch meter vault, two air/vacuum valve chambers, and two pipe material transition test stations.
