Tennessee Valley Authority – Raccoon Mountain Main Access Tunnel Remediation

This project involved the remediation of the main access tunnel at TVA’s Raccoon Mountain Pumped-Storage Station. Approximately 3,300 SF of tunnel walls were scaled and stabilized with rock bolts and wire mesh reinforcement. Pan drains were installed in areas experiencing water seepage, followed by the application of a 4- to 6-inch layer of shotcrete to reinforce and protect the tunnel walls.
